Senior Paralegal & Office Manager
Natalie Lapsley
As senior paralegal, Natalie provides advanced legal support by managing complex cases, conducting high-level research, and drafting/filing legal documents with minimal supervision. She also assists Louis in trial. As office manager, Natalie oversees staff, handles administrative tasks and communicates with court staff. She holds a bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Criminal Justice and Legal Studies and plans to attend law school.
Junior Paralegal
Axel Cerda
Axel is a Fine Art Senior at UTRGV. He provides essential foundational support to Louis by assisting in trial, conducting high-level legal research, drafting documents, organizing case files, handling client communication, and administrative tasks. Axel started as an intern shadowing Louis and Natalie before being officially trained and hired. He graduates in May 2026 and plans to attend law school.
Secretary & Receptionist
Lucila "Tia Lu" Etheridge
Tia Lu communicates with clients, manages files and schedules appointments. Her work as a clerk in the legal field encompasses her experience at the County Courthouse, the Hemphill Law Office, the City Attorney's Office, the Public Utility Commission of Texas, the Law Office of Akin-Gump-Strauss-Hauer & Feld and the Law Office of Louis Sorola. Tia retired in 2022 and came back to work in 2025. She graduated from Brownsville High School.
Legal Assistant
Melina Sandoval
Melina is a Criminal Justice Sophomore at UTRGV and works part time. She began as an intern shadowing Louis and Natalie before being officially trained and hired. As a legal assistant, she manages daily calendars, communicates with clients, reviews evidence and preps exhibits for trial. Melina plans to attend law school.
